Though the numbers for the first quarter of fundraising won’t be available until later this month, Trump’s PAC had more than $31 million in cash as of January 31, according to FEC filings. Trump’s lawyers sent the letter on Friday to the RNC, and the Republican House and Senate campaign committees, Politico reported. But Trump supporters in Congress seem to be already be backing a future in which the GOP’s campaign infrastructure is replaced by one run by the Trump organization. Rep. Matt Gaetz, a top Trump ally, said in a Fox Business interview Tuesday morning that Trump’s PAC is a better fit for conservative donors’ money.
